| FUNDRAISING
Since April 23, 2007, our class has contributed $8,663 with 19.2% participation (~134 people in a class of 700). As a way of putting these numbers into perspective, overall participation of alumnae contributing to the College is 21%. The Class of 2000 has raised $8,364 with 16.7% participation and the Class of 2001 has raised $9,542 with 21.7% participation.
Overall the Alumnae Fund hopes to raise $10 million to support the College's operating budget. While no class two years after graduation is going to contribute even 1% of that total, the fact that the class participates strongly really does impact the College. Smith strives to reach 50% participation of alumnae support.
Remember, it's participation that matters and not amount! Every dollar counts and helps the College. Please find time to donate www.smith.edu/advancement (even $10!) to help us reach our goal of 50% participation by June 30, 2007! Please contact Ling Yang if you have any questions.
